An award-winning documentary filmmaker, Susan 
                                      Smiley is the producer, director and writer of out 
                                     of the shadow, her ground breaking film which took 6 
                                     years to complete. 
                                         
                                   For over 10 years, Susan has worked as a documentary
                                  producer and director, having made programs for the
                                  Discovery Channel, History Channel, PBS, Sci Fi Channel,  
                                 and MTV. She was director, producer, and writer of the original
                                and now acclaimed show Ice Road Truckers for the History
Channel. She was also Co-Producer of the PBS FRONTLINE documentary, The 
Monster That Ate Hollywood.
