In this module students and educators will:
1.	Become familiar with some symptoms, treatments and possibilities for recovery for person with a serious mental illness.
2.	Become familiar with some dynamics that can occur within a family who is caring for someone with a serious mental illness.
3.	Gain insight and compassion for mentally ill persons.
4.	Learn a few key strategies for relating to someone who suffers from mental illness.
